Hotmail Block list - Sucks
12 03 2011Getting your IP on the Hotmaol blocklist is a right pain.
Hotmail have to be the most irresponsible Compnay on the Internet when it comes to trying to get removed from their block list.
They do not provide any info on how to get de-listed, nor do they provide details of why they decide to block an IP.
OK, I run a small web hosting business, and one of my clients sent me a delivery failure notice -
XXXXX@hotmail.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:
host mx3.hotmail.com [65.54.188.126]: 550 SC-001 Unfortunately, messages from XX.XX.XX.XX weren’t sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.
When you follow the link, you get a whole lot of crap - but nothing that relates to HOW to submit your IP to be removed!
They have a form that has a heap of irrelevent mandatory fields, and when you fill it in, it then asks you what you want to do - and still No way of getting off their block list.
I guess it is true - If you want to totally fuck up the internet, let Pricks like Microsoft do shit like this.
If anyone has info on how to get off the shitty, private block list that MSN/Microsoft/Hotmail runs then I would love to hear from you.
